Latin Victories
Constanza Hofmann Wagemann (CHI) delivered the standout Latin victory of the week, claiming the CSI2* Grand Prix Champagne Piaff Trophy at the Longines Global Champions Tour of London at Royal Hospital Chelsea with Juwel-Wish T in 34.28 seconds, an outstanding performance at one of the most prestigious venues on the international calendar.
Samuel Parot (CHI) — No. 7 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Show Jumping Ranking — closed the WEC Ocala Summer Series with a historic performance, sweeping first and second place in the $50,000 Mane ‘n Tail Grand Prix with Tiffany de Olid in 40.638 seconds and Contigo Z in 41.240 seconds, a one-two that confirmed his dominant level at the close of the Ocala summer circuit.
Podiums and Highlights
Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) — No. 4 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Ranking — was the top Latin rider in the €1,000,000 Rolex Grand Prix of Ireland, qualifying for the jump-off with Major Tom and becoming the only Latin American rider to advance to the deciding round of Dublin’s biggest class of the week. He ultimately finished ninth after retiring in the jump-off.
Eduardo Menezes (BRA) — No. 10 in the Latin Ranking — was the standout Latin performer in the €1,003,000 LGCT Grand Prix of London, finishing tenth with H5 Londontime with 4 faults in 44.26 seconds in the jump-off, the top Latin finisher in the richest class of the London weekend.
Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) — No. 3 in the Latin Ranking — finished sixth in the LGCT London CSI5* Jump-Off with Fusario d’Boissailles with 4 faults in 40.84 seconds, the fastest jump-off time but penalized with one rail.
Anna Christina Gansauer (ECU) was the second top Latin performer in the $150,000 LeMieux Grand Prix CSI3* at WEC Ocala, finishing fourth with Loyalton in 46.69 seconds, the first to post a double clear in the jump-off.
Tomás Yofre (ARG) finished third in the $50,000 Mane ‘n Tail Grand Prix at WEC Ocala with Cardora in 42.760 seconds, completing a Latin-presence podium at the close of the Summer Series.
José María Larocca Jr. (ARG) — No. 14 in the Latin Ranking — was the top Latin finisher in the CSI3* Longines Grand Prix at the Le Siepi Cervia Adriatic Tour in Cervia, Italy, finishing twelfth with Finn Lente with 4 faults in 75.32 seconds. His son Matías Larocca (ARG) finished twenty-sixth with 8 faults.
Luciana Diniz (BRA) finished second in the CSI4* 1.45m at Sentower Park, a strong performance from the Brazilian on the Belgian circuit.
Carlos Hank Guerreiro (MEX), alongside his wife Zoe Hank Conter, led Mexico Amigos to their first GCL victory of the season in London on 4 total faults across two rounds.
