Brian Moggre and Johann FS Z Claim the $65,000 Old Salem Farm 2* Grand Prix at the Summer Jumper Classic 2026.

He was among the first to return in the jump-off, and no one could match his time in North Salem.

Brian Moggre (USA) clocked 36.32 seconds in the $65,000 Old Salem Farm 2* Grand Prix at the Old Salem Farm Summer Jumper Classic 2026, designed by Oscar Soberón with 33 combinations on course, 15 jump-off qualifiers, and 10 double clears. Moggre went early in the jump-off order and set a time that proved uncatchable to the end. “We went early in the order, and there were a lot of clear rounds. I went in with a plan focusing on what I was willing to do and what was right for him. Given his age and how he’s so naturally quick, it actually worked out for us today.”

Johann FS Z is an 8-year-old chestnut Zangersheide gelding (John Doe x Diamant de Semilly) owned by Major Wager LLC, a mount Moggre has been developing since the end of his six-year-old year and who has already shown an extraordinary level. “About halfway through his 7-year-old year, I really thought, ‘This horse could be something.’ Every time I ask him to do something he hasn’t done before, he’s right there with me. There’s no telling just how much he can do, and I’m excited to find out.”

Amanda Derbyshire (GBR), runner-up in Thursday’s Classic with this same horse, stopped the clock at 36.55 seconds with Cornwall BH, an 18-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Con Air x Cambridge 8) owned by Derbyshire herself, the closest to Moggre by just 0.23 seconds. David Blake (IRL) completed the podium with Max van de Marijenhoeve, a 9-year-old grey Dutch Warmblood gelding (Hermantico x Verdi TN) owned by Jill Shulman, in 37.16 seconds.

Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen (USA) finished fourth with Mochito v/d Mishagen, a 14-year-old chestnut BWP gelding (Emerald x Lord Z) owned by Serenity Farm, in a time of 37.51 seconds. Delaney Flynn (USA) rounded out the Top 5 with Quotation, a 10-year-old bay BWP gelding (Chacco-Blue x Bubalou VDL) owned by Windsor Show Stables, in 37.73 seconds.

Latin & Pan American Presence

A Pan American victory for Brian Moggre (USA), Kelli Cruciotti Vanderveen (USA) fourth, and Delaney Flynn (USA) fifth completed a strong Pan American Top 5. João Eduardo Ferreira de Carvalho (BRA) was the top Latin finisher in eleventh place with 4 faults in 37.94 seconds in the jump-off. Kent Farrington (USA), world No. 1 and Pan American Ranking leader, top seed of the Grand Prix, was eliminated from the jump-off after exceeding the time allowed in the first round with 1 fault, sixteenth. Ilan Bluman (COL) was twentieth with 4 faults, and Alberto Michán (MEX) retired.
