Adrienne Sternlicht Defends Her Crown in the $185,000 RBC Grand Prix at the Ottawa International 2026.

Back-to-back. Two years. Two victories, and Adrienne Sternlicht is once again the queen of Wesley Clover Parks.

Adrienne Sternlicht (USA) — 2018 World Championship gold medallist — clocked 42.99 seconds in the $185,000 RBC Grand Prix CSI4* at the Ottawa International at Wesley Clover Parks, designed by Grégory Bodo (FRA) with 18 combinations on course and only 4 clear rounds on the grass Grand Prix field. Sternlicht executed her plan perfectly with Faquitol-S to defend her title from the previous year. “When Mckayla and Conor went before me in the jump-off and had rails, I thought it could be the right day for me. I knew if I stayed on my plan, my horse would try one hundred percent for me. He is not the fastest, but luck was on my side, and he gave me an enormous effort.”

Faquitol-S is a 16-year-old bay KWPN gelding (Verdi TN x Carolus H), owned by Starlight Farms 1 LLC, four years together that Sternlicht describes with admiration. “I’ve had to rely on him a lot over the past four years. One of his superpowers is how predictable he is. He has the biggest heart of any animal I’ve ever ridden.”

Charlotte Bettendorf (LUX) came home in 43.25 seconds with Good Girl DK, a 10-year-old black SF mare (By Ceira d’Ick x Kannan) owned by John Kimmel. She looked within reach of the leading time, but the scoreboard confirmed Sternlicht was untouchable. Conor Swail (IRL), the star of Friday’s historic hat trick in Ottawa, stopped the clock at 42.03 seconds with Theo 160, a 14-year-old chestnut Holsteiner gelding (Christian 25 x Calando IV) owned by Mannon Farm, but one rail at the final fence dropped him to third.

McKayla Langmeier (USA) posted 43.96 seconds with Isidore de Chalusse, an 8-year-old grey SF gelding (Clarimo x Vigo d’Arsouilles STX) owned by Rafferty Farm LLC, with 2 rails down to finish fourth. Sean Jobin (CAN) rounded out the Top 5 with Arkuga, a 15-year-old bay Anglo gelding (Arko III x Heartbreaker) owned by Antrim Equestrian, with 4 faults in 75.92 seconds in the first round.

A Pan American victory for Adrienne Sternlicht (USA), McKayla Langmeier (USA) fourth and Sean Jobin (CAN) fifth as the top regional performers. Aaron Vale (USA) — No. 5 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Pan American Show Jumping Ranking — eighth with 4 faults in the first round. No Latin riders competed.
