Three hundredths of a second, and Brian Moggre didn’t let the opportunity slip away.
Brian Moggre (USA) claimed the $31,020 Equestrian Gardens CSI3* Jumper Classic at the 2026 HITS Hudson Valley Jumping Tour in Saugerties, New York, designed by Ken Krome (USA) with 57 combinations on course representing 11 nations. Moggre crossed the finish in 26.91 seconds, just three hundredths faster than Mark Bluman, who had appeared on course for another victory.
Johann FS Z is an 8-year-old chestnut Zangersheide gelding (John Doe x Diamant de Semilly), owned by Major Wager LLC, a promising young horse that Moggre has partnered with since the gelding’s six-year-old year and who continues to impress: “Developing young horses is always such a fun thing for me. Johann stepped up to the plate every step of the way; everything we ask of him, he just continues to impress and amaze us. He only did his first 1.40m class in October and his first 1.45m in January, so we really just started introducing him to these ranking classes.”
Mark Bluman (ISR) accepted the runner-up position with S&L Hello Sunshine, a 9-year-old chestnut SF stallion (Diamant de Semilly x Cosimo) owned by S&L Farms, in 26.94 seconds. Ilan Bluman (COL) completed the podium in third with Echo LVF, an 8-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Emerald x Contefino 2) owned by Ashlee Bond, in 27.25 seconds, sealing a shared podium between the Bluman cousins.
Philip McGuane (IRL) finished fourth with Donvier, a 14-year-old bay BE/SIES gelding (Don VHP Z x Andiamo Z) owned by Evergate Stables LLC, in 27.72 seconds. Mark Bluman rounded out the Top 5 in fifth with Inside of My Heart, a 10-year-old grey Holsteiner mare (L.B. Crumble x San Patrignano Cassini) owned by Aram Ampagoumian LLC, in 27.84 seconds.

A Pan American victory for Brian Moggre (USA). Ilan Bluman (COL) was the top Latin finisher in third place. Joao Carvalho (BRA) was twenty-second, Roberto Terán Tafur (COL) was thirty-second, Lucas Mejía Fanjul (COL) forty-first, Vasco Flores (PUR) forty-fifth, and Cristian Hacker (GUA) fiftieth.
