Two perfect rounds on the most demanding day, and Sunday in Aachen will write the individual chapter of the championship.

Steve Guerdat (SUI), individual Olympic champion at London 2012, and Daniel Deusser (GER), fresh from claiming team gold with Germany, share the lead in the individual classification of the FEI Jumping World Championship Aachen 2026 with 0.86 accumulated penalties each after completing both qualifying competitions without fault. Guerdat with Dynamix de Belheme, a 13-year-old bay SF mare (Snaike de Blondel x Cornet Obolensky) owned by C.H.C. Horses SA, and Deusser with Otello de Guldenboom, a 12-year-old bay BWP stallion (Tobago Z x Caretino) owned by Stephex Stables, two riders, two horses, one identical accumulated score. Sunday’s LONGINES-Prize will decide who takes the gold.

Ben Maher (GBR) sits third with 1.01 penalties with Point Break, a 12-year-old bay SWB stallion (Action-Breaker x Balou du Rouet), just 0.15 faults from the lead. Marcus Ehning (GER) fourth with 1.78 penalties with Coolio, a 13-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Casalito x Quidam de Revel) owned by Elmrock BV. Sophie Hinners (GER) fifth with 1.84 penalties with Iron Dames Singclair, an 11-year-old bay SWB gelding (Singular LS La Silla x Cardento), adding 1 fault in the second round of the session but remaining firmly in medal contention.

Abdel Saïd (BEL) sixth with 2.63 penalties with Wathnan Quaker Brimbelles Z, an 11-year-old bay Zangersheide gelding (Quicksilver St Simeon x Hickstead) owned by AS Trading BV. Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA), world No. 14, seventh with 3.57 penalties with Hantano, a 14-year-old bay KWPN gelding (Quasimodo Z x Numero Uno) owned by Eriberto Bucci. Armando Trapote (ESP) is ninth with 4.57 penalties with Tornado VS, a 15-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Toulon x Contender) owned by Yeguada Valbanera S.L. Scott Brash (GBR), leader after Competition 1, drops to tenth with 4.80 penalties after adding 4 in the second round with Hello Mango, an 11-year-old grey KWPN mare (Untouchable x Numero Uno).

The Region — Roberto Terán Tafur the Standout Performer

Roberto Terán Tafur (COL), with two individual faultless rounds in today’s session, is the top regional performer in eighth place with 3.58 accumulated penalties, with Dez’ Ooktoff, an 18-year-old bay KWPN stallion (Colandro x Lys Rouge), just 0.01 faults behind Piergiorgio Bucci in seventh. The Colombian qualified comfortably for Sunday’s grand final.

Laura Kraut (USA), No. 2 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Pan American Show Jumping Ranking, drops to twelfth with 5.06 penalties after adding 4 in the second round with Baloutinue, but qualifies for Sunday’s grand final. Stephan Barcha (BRA), Latin Ranking leader, nineteenth with 6.35 penalties after a perfect second round with Chevaux Primavera Imperio Egipcio, qualified for Sunday. McLain Ward (USA), twenty-first with 6.62 penalties with High Star Hero, also qualified. Eugenio Garza Pérez (MEX) twenty-second with 6.85 penalties with Contago, 1 fault in the second round but inside the Top 25. Carlos Hank Guerreiro (MEX) twenty-fourth with 7.43 penalties with H5 Shaq Attack, qualified.

Chris Pratt (CAN) twenty-seventh with 8.85 penalties, outside the Top 25. Kyle Timm (CAN) thirtieth with 9.03 penalties, also eliminated. Lillie Keenan (USA), No. 6 in the Pan American Ranking, thirty-second with 9.17 penalties after adding 8 in the second round with Fasther, eliminated from the individual final. Fernando Martínez Sommer (MEX) thirty-fourth with 9.50 penalties. Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) thirty-sixth with 9.89 penalties. Ignacio Maurín (ARG) forty-eighth with 14.69 penalties. Patricio Pasquel (MEX) fifty-third with 42.95 penalties.
