Scott Brash (GBR), world No. 4 and Paris 2024 team Olympic champion, leads the individual classification of the FEI Jumping World Championship Aachen 2026 with 0.80 accumulated penalties after two competitions, following a second faultless round in the Mercedes-Benz Prize with Hello Mango, an 11-year-old grey KWPN mare (Untouchable x Numero Uno) owned by Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham. “My mare is simply phenomenal. But there is still a long way to go until Sunday.”
Sophie Hinners (GER), world No. 23 and one of the most in-form riders on the international circuit in 2026, sits second with 0.84 penalties after another flawless round with Iron Dames Singclair, an 11-year-old bay SWB gelding (Singular LS La Silla x Cardento) owned by Pegase Equestrian BV. A winner at the season’s most important events, the 28-year-old German confirmed in Aachen that her outstanding form is no coincidence. “Everything just went the way we had mapped out beforehand. I walked the course twice, once with Richi and once with David. We have been working together for many years, and I trust them both implicitly.”
Steve Guerdat (SUI), individual Olympic champion at London 2012 and former world No. 1, shares third place with 0.86 penalties alongside Daniel Deusser (GER), also a former world No. 1, with Dynamix de Belheme, a 13-year-old bay SF mare (Snaike de Blondel x Cornet Obolensky), and Otello de Guldenboom, a 12-year-old bay BWP stallion (Tobago Z x Caretino) respectively, both completing the second round without penalties.
Ben Maher (GBR), former world No. 1 and current No. 5, shares fifth place with Nicola Philippaerts (BEL), world No. 13, both on 1.01 accumulated penalties. Maher with Point Break, a 12-year-old bay SWB stallion (Action-Breaker x Balou du Rouet), and Philippaerts with Katanga v/h Dingeshof, a 16-year-old bay BWP mare (Cardento x Tornedo FCS).
Latin & Pan American Presence
Laura Kraut (USA), No. 2 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Pan American Show Jumping Ranking, remains firmly in medal contention with a second faultless round, climbing to seventh place with 1.06 accumulated penalties with Baloutinue, a 16-year-old bay Hanoverian gelding (Balou du Rouet x Landor S). Lillie Keenan (USA), No. 6 in the Pan American Ranking, equally flawless in the second round, climbing to ninth place with 1.17 penalties with Fasther, a 16-year-old chestnut KWPN gelding (Vigo d’Arsouilles STX x Farmer).
Roberto Terán Tafur (COL) topped the Latinus list today, finishing 25th with 1 fault in the second round for a total of 3.58 penalties. Patricio Pasquel (MEX) was twenty-seventh with 1 fault and 3.95 accumulated penalties. Ignacio Maurín (ARG), Chris Pratt (CAN), Kyle Timm (CAN), Fernando Martínez Sommer (MEX) and Eugenio Garza (MEX) all completed the round without penalties. Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) and Stephan Barcha (BRA), the top Latin performers after Competition 1, both had faults in the second round, dropping to fifty-second and fifty-fourth, respectively, in the overall classification.
