Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson Bring the House Down in the CSI5* Jump-Off at the LGCT London 2026.

Nineteen hundredths of a second, and Scott Brash snatched the victory from Bettendorf in front of his home crowd.

Scott Brash (GBR), former world No. 1 and current world No. 3, clocked 40.11 seconds in the CSI5* 1.50m Jump-Off at the Longines Global Champions Tour of London 2026 at Royal Hospital Chelsea, designed by Uliano Vezzani (ITA), with 46 combinations on course, 14 jump-off qualifiers and €56,800 in prize money. Brash beat Victor Bettendorf by just 0.19 seconds, in front of a packed grandstand completely behind their home hero. “When you’re on Jefferson you know you’ve always got a chance. He’s been a remarkable horse for me, and he just loves his job. There’s nowhere like London.”

Hello Jefferson is a 17-year-old bay BWP gelding (Cooper van de Heffinck x Irco Mena), owned by Lady Pauline Harris and Lady Pauline Kirkham. At 17 years of age, the veteran answered every question on course, and accelerated through the final line with the precision that has defined his entire career.

Victor Bettendorf (LUX), recent winner of the LGCT Grand Prix of Riesenbeck, had set the jump-off benchmark with Encore Toi du Linon, a 12-year-old bay SF mare (Kannan x Desir du Chateau) owned by Christelle Perron, in 40.30 seconds, the first double clear of the jump-off that seemed unbeatable until Brash arrived. Lara Tryba (FRA) completed the podium with Chageorge, an 11-year-old chestnut OS stallion (Chacco-Blue x Sanvaro) owned by Tryba herself, in 43.39 seconds.

Gilles Thomas (BEL), world No. 7, finished fourth with Riesling van T Roosakker, a 9-year-old bay BWP stallion (Comme Il Faut x Echo van’t Spieveld) owned by ‘T Roosakker Stables, in 45.24 seconds. Kim Emmen (NED) rounded out the Top 5 with Quando van het Hellehof, a 10-year-old bay BWP gelding (Et x Nabab de Reve) owned by Eric Berkhof Paarden BV, in 52.28 seconds.

Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA), former Latin Ranking leader and current No. 3, was the standout regional performer, finishing sixth with Fusario d’Boissailles, an 11-year-old chestnut SF gelding (Ogrion des Champs x Calido) owned by Ashford Farm BV, with 4 faults in 40.84 seconds in the jump-off, the fastest jump-off time but penalized with one rail. Kristen Vanderveen (USA) eighth with 4 faults in 41.91 seconds, Eduardo Menezes (BRA), No. 10 in the Latin Ranking, ninth with 4 faults in 41.95 seconds, Carlos Hank Guerreiro (MEX) twenty-fourth with 4 faults in the first round, Vani Khosla (USA) twenty-eighth with 4 faults and Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo (BRA) thirty-sixth with 8 faults.
