Mexico Amigos Claim Historic GCL London Victory as Husband-and-Wife Duo Lead the Way.

Carlos Hank Guerreiro and Zoe Hank Conter, husband and wife, same team, same podium. Mexico Amigos claimed the GCL London in a night for the history books.

Mexico Amigos claimed the Global Champions League of London 2026 at the spectacular Royal Hospital Chelsea, finishing on just 4 total faults across two rounds, the team’s first victory of the season. New York Empire powered by Lugano finished second on the same score of 4 faults but penalized by more than five seconds in time, while St Tropez Pirates completed the podium in third on 5 faults.

Zoe Hank Conter opened the family duo’s performance with a flawless first round aboard Loui LN, a 12-year-old bay SWB gelding (Kannan x Cartani). In the second round, she handed over to Carlos Hank Guerreiro, who, with H5 Diachango Blue PS, a 9-year-old OS gelding (Diaron x Chacco-Blue), recorded just one rail to seal the victory. “Luis just delivered. He has already delivered for the Mexico Amigos before when we needed him, and he did that again today. We’re super happy,” said Zoe after the win.

New York Empire, with Scott Brash and Hello Folie, an 11-year-old chestnut SF mare (Luidam x Diamant de Semilly), and Mark McAuley with Clooney van Spalbeek Z, a 9-year-old bay Zangersheide stallion (Comilfo Plus Z x Diamant de Semilly), responded with an outstanding second round that came agonisingly close to victory. “I was super pleased with Folie in round 2. And having Marc on the team with a great group of horses is fantastic,” noted Brash.

St Tropez Pirates climbed from fifth after Round 1 onto the podium, Piergiorgio Bucci delivering the crucial clear with Casalia DG, a 9-year-old chestnut mare (Casall x Carthago). “We know we have an amazing team of horses, so we know we can perform really well for the rest of the season,” said Bucci.
