Mathieu Bourdeaud’Hui (BEL), 23 years old, claimed the Royal International Trophy CSIO5* at the Agria Royal International Horse Show Hickstead 2026, with 47 combinations on course, 21 qualifiers for the jump-off, and 17 returning. Bourdeaud’Hui crossed the finish in 37.81 seconds to take the win on his debut at the historic British show. “I’ve always wanted to come; Hickstead is an amazing show. Every year I watch on the livestream at home, and I’ve been dreaming of riding here one day.”
My Kingdom is a 9-year-old bay KWPN gelding (Cornet Obolensky x For Pleasure), owned by Tony Olivier, a young horse that delivered authority and precision in the demanding 17-combination jump-off at Hickstead’s International Arena.
Rob Whitaker (GBR) finished second with Strike a Pose, a 9-year-old bay BE/SIES stallion (Catwalk IV x Lux Z) owned by Brian and Caroline Blatchford, in 38.39 seconds, just 0.58 seconds behind the Belgian. Niels Bruynseels (BEL) completed the podium with Devidanga SW Z, a 10-year-old Zangersheide mare (Dominator 2000 Z x Numero Uno) owned by Ludwig and Yasmine Criel, in 38.84 seconds.
Robin Lesqueren (FRA) finished fourth with Galax du Rouet, a 10-year-old bay SF stallion (Lauterbach x Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) owned by S.C.E.A. Aldream, in 39.02 seconds. Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) rounded out the Top 5 with Harley de la Cense, a 9-year-old bay SF gelding (Andiamo Semilly x Calvaro F.C.) owned by SIPE Handels AG, in a time of 40.43 seconds.
Latin & Pan American Presence
Kyle Timm (CAN) was the top Pan American finisher in eleventh place with the last double-clear of the jump-off in 46.39 seconds. Nicolás Toro (COL) was the top Latin finisher in sixteenth place, retiring in the jump-off. Amy Millar (CAN) was also sixteenth without returning. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA), No. 5 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Show Jumping Ranking, recorded the fastest 4-fault first round in 63.50 seconds.
