The most complete week of the equestrian summer delivered historic Grand Prix results across four continents, an extraordinary individual double and Latin American presence on the most important podiums of the international circuit.
THE MOMENT OF THE WEEK — ROLEX GRAND PRIX FALSTERBO
Last to go. Fastest of the day. Shane Sweetnam (IRL), world No. 5, wrote his name into Rolex Series history at Falsterbo, stopping the clock at 37.68 seconds with James Kann Cruz to claim the Rolex Grand Prix presented by Agria CSIO5* at the Falsterbo Horse Show 2026. Richard Vogel (GER), world No. 2, finished second with Cloudio in 38.63 seconds, and Steve Guerdat (SUI) completed the podium in 38.68 seconds. On the Latin and Pan American fronts, Luis Alejandro Plascencia (MEX) was the standout, going first in both rounds with Huberth B, delivering two clear rounds to finish seventh. Nicolás Pizarro (MEX), No. 2 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Show Jumping Ranking, finished thirteenth without faults but outside the top 12 qualifiers for the second round.
The week at Falsterbo was complete for Switzerland: Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs led Switzerland to victory in the Agria Nations Cup CSIO5* in a dramatic jump-off against Belgium, with the United States third and Mexico tenth. Fuchs also won the CSIO5* Falsterbo Derby with Love de Vie, and Philipp Weishaupt (GER) claimed the second qualifier for the Rolex Grand Prix with Callao L.
THE MAN OF THE WEEK ON THE AMERICAN CIRCUIT — JAD DANA
Jad Dana (LBN) delivered the most extraordinary individual week on the American summer circuit. On Saturday night, he won the $250,000 MARS Equestrian Grand Prix CSI4* at WEC Ocala with Itchcock des Dames by just 0.08 seconds over Aaron Vale (USA), No. 5 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Pan American Show Jumping Ranking. Less than 24 hours later, he returned to the ring and won the $85,000 Buckeye Nutrition Grand Prix CSI2* with Leonidas. Two international Grand Prix in less than a day. At WEC Ocala, Tanner Korotkin (USA) also shone, winning the $63,000 MARS Equestrian CSI4* Winning Round one-five, and Luis Sabino Gonçalves (POR) claimed the MARS Equestrian Grand Prix Qualifier CSI4*. Pablo Barrios (VEN) was the top Latin finisher in the CSI4* Grand Prix, finishing fourth in the jump-off.
LATIN ONE-TWO — TOPS INTERNATIONAL SUMMER FESTIVAL
Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA), No. 4 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Show Jumping Ranking, headlined a historic Latin one-two in the CSI4* Grand Prix 1.55m at the Longines Tops International Summer Festival, with Andrés Azcárraga (MEX) second. At the same show, Harry Charles (GBR) swept both CSI4* speed classes with Bandit, and Harrie Smolders (NED) won the CSI2* Speed. Felipe Amaral (BRA) finished third in the first CSI4* speed class.
TRAVERSE CITY AND TRYON — PAN AMERICAN DOMINANCE WITH A LATIN TOUCH
Hunter Holloway (USA) claimed the $116,500 Southern Arches CSI3* Grand Prix at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival in Traverse City with Henry Jota Ariel in exactly 36.00 seconds, first in the ring, and no one caught her. Erynn Ballard (CAN) and Genius de Rance, their third consecutive FEI win together, claimed the $31,100 MacAllister Machinery CSI3* Welcome Stake, and Samantha Schaefer (USA) won the $31,100 Elk Rapids Marina CSI3* Two Phase. At Tryon Summer 5, Gwyneth Babington (USA) won the $70,000 Main Street Insurance CSI2* Grand Prix with Andrea Torres (COL) second and Samuel Parot (CHI), No. 9 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Show Jumping Ranking, third. David Blake (IRL) claimed the $32,000 LeMieux Welcome Stake CSI2* one-three.
MEXICO AND VENEZUELA DOMINATE THE CSIU25
Maya Denis (MEX) and Juan Vegas (VEN) delivered a historic Latin one-two in the $65,000 CSIU25 Grand Prix at WEC Ocala, Mexico first, Venezuela second, shaking up the youth leaderboards of the Tu Mundo Ecuestre proprietary rankings.
SPAIN RULES CASAS NOVAS — WITH STRONG LATIN PRESENCE
Iván Serrano Sáez (ESP) completed the perfect double at the Casas Novas Summer Edition, winning the CSI4* CaixaBank Trophy on Thursday and the Grand Prix Marqués de Riscal Trophy 1.60m on Sunday with the veteran Rain Man, aged 16. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA), No. 5 in the Tu Mundo Ecuestre Latin Show Jumping Ranking, also delivered a historic double at the same show: second in the Grupo Eulen Trophy and winner of the CSI4* Longines Trophy. Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) won two classes with Vasco 118, and Santiago Díaz Ortega (COL) finished second in the Prosegur Security Trophy.
CHANTILLY AND EUROPE
Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) claimed the €106,000 Al Shira’aa Tour Grand Prix de la Ville de Chantilly at the Chantilly Classic in a tight finish over Scott Brash (GBR). Marc Dilasser (FRA) won the Prix Saur CSI4* with Laura Kraut (USA), No. 2 in the Pan American Ranking, second, and Stephanie Macieira (BRA) fourth as top Latin finisher. Christian Kukuk (GER), world No. 10, won the CSI3* Grand Prix at the Riviera Resort in San Giovanni in Marignano. Switzerland won the Longines EEF Nations Cup Semi-Final in Šamorín, led by Bryan Balsiger, and Katharina Rhomberg (AUT) claimed the CSIO3* Grand Prix.
